Prisoner fleeing after jail collapse in 2015 earthquake, held from Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: A special police team deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police arrested a fleeing prisoner, who had fled after the Sindhupalchowk District jail had collapsed in 2015 devastating earthquake.

The sleuths of CIB arrested Shyam Nepali (29) of Sindukot-7 in Sindhupalchowk District from Lubhu of Lalitpur district yesterday.

He was sentenced by the District Court for 20 years in jail for murder case.

Meanwhile, CIB handed over the prisoner to the Sindhupalchowk District Prison Office.
