DULLU: A hospital, built on funding from the private sector, has come into operation in Dailekh.

The 15-bed Asharam Hospital, constructed at a cost of around Rs 25 million at Dullu Municipality, has started its services from Saturday.

According to the managing director of the hospital, Kapil Khanal, specialised doctors have been employed to provide services to underserved and financially disadvantaged locals who previously had to travel to Surkhet and Nepalgunj for treatment.

The hospital is equipped with ultrasound and X-ray services and also has a laboratory where blood tests are conducted for thyroid and diabetes.

The hospital provided free health check-ups to the locals on commencement of its services.
