Probe SSB firing, act against culprits: MoFA
Kathmandu, November 26
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today issued a press release saying its attention had been drawn to the incident of firing on Nepali territory by India’s Sashatra Seema Bal through the Embassy of India in Kathmandu yesterday expressing grave concern about the entry of SSB personnel into Nepalese territory and use of firearms against unarmed Nepalese civilians.
“While urging Indian authorities to curb such actions, the ministry so urged early investigation into the incident; and strong action against those involved.
It has also requested that the findings of the investigation be shared,” MoFA said in its release.
The ministry said serious attention of the ministry had been drawn to the incident that occurred yesterday at around 6:20am 100 metres inside Nepal from India-Nepal No Man’s Land at Poorbi Tole of Hariharpur Village Development Committee Ward 7 of Sunsari District.
