KAPILVASTU: The Local Administration in Kapilvastu has lifted a prohibitory order issued earlier in Taulihawa, in view of the public demonstrations taking place for and against the Constitution amendment proposal.

A meeting of the District Security Committee today decided to discontinue the prohibitory orders. The orders that had been in effect from 6:00 am since Monday were withdrawn from 10:00 am today.

The orders were issued as per the Article 6 (3) of the Local Administration Act, 2028 BS (1971), informed the Administration.

Demonstrations being held for the past six days in the northern part of the district have badly affected the normal life. Markets, transport services, banks and academic institutes have remained closed.
