ITAHARI: Property worth rupees six lakh was gutted when houses caught fire in Mahendranagar, Sunsari, on Monday. The fire that broke out from the house of Bal Bahadur Gurung in Mahendranagar-4 had spread to houses of Ram Kumar Rai and Saraswati Rai, police said. Foodstuffs, clothes and other items were gutted in the fire. A fire engine from Itahari, however, had controlled the fire, the police confirmed.
