LAHAN: Property worth around Rs 2.3 million were gutted by the fire that broke out at Belha in Kalyanpur Municipality-12 of Siraha district on Monday.

The fire started from the leakage in cooking gas cylinder while the construction workers for Kamala River barrage were cooking their meal.

The fire destroyed a generator, 100 sets of plywood, three mobile phone sets, a bicycle and utensils.

Police with the help of locals had contained the fire.
