KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 248,000 was gutted when a fire broke out in a furniture factory at Dandagaun in Tarkeshwor Municipality-11 on Wednesday night.

The valuables were destroyed when the factory caught fire induced by a mosquito coil, said police.

The factory belonged to Gyan Bahadur Adhikari of Panchakanya in Nuwakot-5.

The fire was contained later. Police are looking into the case.
