Protest against teacher’s killing, four suspects arrested

Rautahat, October 24:

Protesting the killing of Sunil Ray Yadav, a school teacher, yesterday, teachers brought traffic to a halt on the Gaur-Chandranigahpur road in Rautahat today.

The protesters were demanding action against the guilty and compensation for the family of the slain teacher. Meanwhile, teachers, staffers of government offices and local residents staged a demonstration in Gaur today to protest the killing. “All educational institutions were closed today to protest the killing,” said Sudama Ray Yadav, district chairman of the Nepal Teacher’s Union.

Meanwhile, the police today held four persons on the charge of the killing . The four include a peon of Prempur school Shambhu Yadav, Baikuntha Thakur, Rajendra Chaurasiya and Ramkaji Kushbaha.
