MAHOTTARI: Cadres of the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) seized 500 litres of petroleum products at Gaushala in the district and destroyed it on Monday.

The cadres of the Front seized the petroleum products, which was being brought in jerrycans on bicycle and a motorcycle. The fuel seized and destroyed by the UDMF protesters includes 400 litres diesel and 100 litres petrol.

The cadres justified destroying it by saying the fuel was smuggled in from India.

The UDMF has been holding a protest movement in the Tarai-Madhes region for over three months against the federal state delineation in the new constitution and some provisions therein.
