MAKWANPUR: Province 3 held the Provincial Assembly (PA) meeting, a first for all provinces, at Hetauda, the provincial headquarters, at 1:00 pm today.

Former Central Region Education Directorate office was used as the venue for the historic assembly, which was held after the newly appointed Province 3 Governor Anuradha Koirala called for the meeting.

Senior-most member of the assembly, Dormani Poudel had chaired the meeting.

The meeting will continue until the elections of Speaker and Deputy Speaker, scheduled for February 10, are held.

110 provincial assembly members are expected to take part in the elections.

At the meeting, PA members representing major parties expressed their views.
