POKHARA: Province 4 Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law on Tuesday distributed several breathalyzer machines to traffic police in a bid to control the rising number of road accidents in the province.

Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Hari Bahadur Chuman handed over one machine each to the traffic police chiefs of four districts amid a special programme today.

Likewise, the Minister also gave away 10 lifejackets, rescue ropes, firefighters' uniform and necessary equipment for divers, Section Officer Bindu Kala Bhandari said.

Internal Affairs and Law Secretary Phadindra Mani Pokhrel said, "All the equipment will be kept at the Pokhara-based Western Regional APF Battalion."
