Public appearance of Matrika's combatants
JANAKPURDHAM: CPN-Maoist, led by Matrika Yadav, today made its combatants public at a function in Janakpur.
The party presented its platoon of 45 fighters at a press meet organised in its Dhanusha office.
However, only 20 combatants were present in the programme. Platoon commander Abhishek clarified that all the combatants were not able to attend the function due to the transportation strike in Janakpur zone.
He claimed to have inducted 15 Unified CPN-Maoist combatants,
who had revolted at Khayarmara sub-cantonment in Mahottari district, in the outfit. The party
earlier made public its combatants in Dharan and Kathmandu as well.
Speaking at the programme, Dinesh Yadav, Dhanusha in-charge of the party, said the combatants would not fight
a war but protect the people and take the policy of the party across to the public.
He added that the fighters would carry out internal activities of the party and strengthen the organisation.
