Dahal assures conflict victims
Chitwan, November 21
Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Co-chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal today said issues related to conflict victims would be sorted out by the end of the current fiscal.
Speaking at a press conference jointly organised by Press Chautari and Press Centre Chitwan at Bharatpur airport today, the NCP co-chair said, “As to how even the prime minister is eager to see the peace process wrapping up, which was evident in what he said while speaking at international forums of the United Nations and Asia Society and even in Costa Rica, work is under way to cap the peace process by this fiscal end.”
Further, the former rebel leader refused to buy that nothing had happened in the past 12 years in terms of addressing the concerns of conflict victims.
“Though we are yet to conclude the peace process in its entirety, it doesn’t necessarily mean that nothing has happened in all these years. The government and our party are continuously working to complete all the remaining tasks related to the peace process,” he remarked.
Dahal also informed that a discussion was under way regarding extension of Bharatpur airport.
