RAJBIRAJ: A 17-year-old boy was shot at by an unidentified person in Rajbiraj, the Saptari district headquarters, on Friday afternoon.

Deepak Thakur of Padariya, Rajbiraj Municipality-2 sustained an injury on his left shoulders in the attack, police said.

Thakur said three motorbike-borne persons opened fire him and fled the scene at around 1:30 pm today.

The victim, a ninth grader at a local school, has been admitted at the Gajendra Narayan Singh Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital.

The Hospital said he is out of danger.

Police said they are clueless about motive behind the attack and identity of the attackers.

Further investigation is underway.
