BAGLUNG: Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel has stressed holding the local level elections in a single phase even after postponing the date for few days.

In a press meet organised by the Nepal Press Union, Baglung Chapter, here today, leader Paudel added that the election date could be slightly changed to allow the United Democratic Madhesi Front to take part in the elections and thereby to hold them in a single phase.

He added that the Front was creating problems after rejecting the constitution amendment bill brought to address their demands for two times.

Leader Paudel claimed that the new amendment proposal was brought with the consent of Front but they surprisingly announced protest programmes by rejecting it.

He suspected over the activities of Front, adding,"Are they plotting a conspiracy to obstruct the election process?"

Leader Paudel further stressed holding open discussions between the major three parties and the Front to resolve the problem.
