Paudel busy canvassing in Tanahun

Damauli, November 11

Nepali Congress senior leader and Tanahun Constituency-1 parliamentary candidate Ramchandra Paudel urged the people of his constituency to vote for his party in the upcoming elections to ensure development of the country.

Inaugurating party’s publicity office in Damauli today, the NC leader scoffed at the left alliance’s claim to get majority in the upcoming parliamentary and provincial elections. “At a time when communists have almost disappeared from many countries, they are trying to take root in Nepal, which will just be a daydream,” said the congress leader, terming the UML-CPN-MC alliance a band of opportunists. He also said the left alliance was formed to impose authoritarianism in the country.

On a different note, Paudel seemed hopeful of his victory in the upcoming parliamentary election given his contributions to the country so far. “As I’ve played significant role in inking the Comprehensive Peace Accord and writing the constitution, I hope voters will evaluate my contribution and vote for me in the upcoming elections,” said the leader, who identified development of tourism, agriculture and energy sector as an expedient way to create more employment opportunities.

Paudel  inaugurated his party’s publicity committee offices in Ward No 1 and 4 in Byas Municiality and  also addressed a general meeting at Nareswor.
