RAMECHHAP: An eight-year-old boy died in a lightning strike in Gothgaun village of Ramechhap district on Saturday.

Police said Tek Bahadur Khatri, son of Bal Bahadur Khatri, of Khurpati, Gothgaun-5 died today.

Struck by the thunderbolt while he was with his family members at their temporary shelter this afternoon, he had breathed last while being rushed to Manthali for treatment.

A buffalo was injured in the strike.
