Rae hails Nepal’s beauty

Lamjung, August 31

Indian ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae, today said Nepal is a country of immense natural beauty.

After visiting Tilicho Lake in Manang, located at the highest altitude in the world, Rae said that he was awestruck by the paradisical lake. Rae bathed in the cold water of Tilicho according to ancient custom.

The ambassador, during his five-day visit, travelled to the upper regions of Manang with lawmaker Tek Bahadur Gurung, last Friday and returned yesterday.

“Tilicho Lake located at the summit of a mountain is one of of the jewels of Nepal, a source of pride for the country,” Rae said.

He further added that Nepal could become a prosperous country by promoting tourism.

Rae urged the Nepal government and the people of Manang to conserve tourist destinations such as Tilicho, Gangapurna lake and Thorang Pass, among others.
