GAUR: A toddler drowned after falling into a water container at Laxminiya VDC in Rautahat on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as one and a half-year-old Babudin, son of Jahur Miya of Gamhariya VDC-2 in Rautahat district.

The toddler, while playing, accidentally fell into the container full of water from rains at about 9:30 am, police said.

Babudin breathed his last on the way to hospital, the family members said.

The incident occurred when Babudin was at his maternal home.
