RBN starts collecting road tax on BP Highway

Roads Board Nepal has started collecting road tax on BP Highway in Sindhuli since September 18.

RBN has begun collecting Rs 125 each from trucks, mini-trucks, lorries and buses from Khalte of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-6 along Dhulikhel-Khurkot road section.

Similarly, light vehicles such as car, jeep, pick-up van, and tractor have to each pay Rs 50 as road tax.

RBN staffer Keshav Adhikari said they collected Rs 15 each from three-wheelers and two-wheelers.

Likewise, vehicles will also have to pay road tax at Khaniyakharka of Golanjor Rural Municipality-5, along the Khurkot-Sindhuli-Bardibas stretch. Heavy vehicles such as buses, mini-buses, truck sand lorries have to pay Rs 125, each.

Light vehicles, such as cars, pick-up vans, and tractors have to pay Rs 45 each. Three-wheelers and two-wheelers have to pay Rs 15 each .

Vehicles have to pay road taxes twice, once at Khalte and again at Khaniyakharka along the BP Highway.
