Record set for most flights

CHITWAN: With sixteen flights in a single day on Wednesday, Buddha Air has set a record for the maximum number of flights operated from Bharatpur airport in Chitwan.

The reason for the unusually large number of flights, according to Buddha Air were 124 Spanish tourists bound for Sauraha who chartered flights from the airline. The normal daily schedule for Buddha Air on this route is a mere two flights.

Buddha Air’s record has been verified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), Bharatpur as the maximum number of flights in a day by any airline in Nepal to date.
