KANCHANPUR: The Nepal Red Cross Society, Kanchanpur chapter has distributed relief materials to the families whose houses were destroyed by wild tuskers in Shuklaphanta Municipality-3 of the district.

A total of 41 families were provided with the support materials on Monday. Red Cross activist Ganesh Joshi said that the affected families were given tarps, cooking utensils and other items needed for basic living.

Distributing the relief materials, Mayor of the Municipality Dil Bahadur Yer, said that Red Cross did a benevolent act by supporting the people in need.

Prior to this, Red Cross had also supported the families displaced due to wild tuskers in Tarapur camp.
