Registration of 30 co-ops scrapped in Banke

BANKE: The Division Cooperative Office, Banke, has nullified the registration of 30 inactive cooperatives of the district.

Chief of the Office, Prakash Poudel, said that the cooperatives failing to submit the details of their operation till June 7 were scrapped.

He said that the cooperatives failing to submit the reports of the financial details and general assembly, and those not carrying out their audits for two fiscal years were scrapped.

The cooperatives are supposed to submit the details of their financial transaction at the registrar’s office in a given timeline in accordance with the Cooperative Act, 2048.

Earlier on 8 May, the Office had issued a notice to a total of 151 passive cooperatives to appear within 35 days with the evidences of their operation.
