Regular power supply resumes after transmission line repaired

Ramechhap, March 22

Nepal Electricity Authority has decided to bring the Manthali–Sindhuli 33 KV transmission line into operation after necessary repairs in the district.

Rabin Babu Ghimire, chief of NEA’s Manthali distribution centre, said the decision had paved the way for operation of the transmission line from Sindhuli to Manthali that had been left in the lurch for five years.

Frequent disruption in power supply from the Dolakha transmission line had been hitting Ramechhap locals hard. But with the repairs, Ramechhap will have regular power supply from Dolakha while Sindhuli transmission line will be used in case of supply disruption.

Ramechhap locals had been mounting pressure on the authorities to operate the Sindhuli transmission line.
