Regulate brokers: CIAA

Kathmandu, May 9:

The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) today asked the government to provide licences to the brokers working in public offices to end irregularities.

The brokers, with the help of the concerned government officials, take money from people who visit offices for the accomplishment of their works. In a letter to Chief Secretary of the government, Bhoj Raj Ghimire, the CIAA asked the government to arrange for issuing licences to the brokers to make them responsible for their jobs.

The anti-graft body also suggested banks, financial institutions and the Company Registrar’s Office to entertain documents only after verifying their authenticity.
