Relief amount for quake-hit in 10 days

The government today decided to provide Rs 10,000 to all the earthquake victims within next 10 days.
According to government’s spokesperson and Minister for Information, Communication and Technology Sherdhan Rai, Cabinet directed home ministry and federal affairs and local development ministry to coordinate for the distribution of Rs 10,000 to each earthquake victim within 10 days.
Minister Rai said government would take action against the designated ministries if they failed to distribute the relief amount on time.
The Cabinet also endorsed the draft regulation of the Commission of Investigation on Enforced Disappeared Persons and Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
It also decided to present the Biological Weapons Convention at the parliament for approval.
It also decided to extend the term of Nepali ambassador to China Mahesh Maskey for four more months.
The government also directed the education ministry to regulate the educational institutions running with affiliation to foreign educational institutions.
