Judge Wife Group Nepal and the wives’ group of Nepali Army today distributed warm blankets to the victims of cold at separate programmes organised in Gaur of Rautahat.

Blankets were distributed to as many as 20 families of those who had lost their lives to the bone-biting cold few days ago. The Judge Wife Group Nepal distributed quilts to 230 new mothers and 73 pregnant women to protect them from excessive cold.

In the last three weeks the cold has claimed 20 lives in Rautahat. The quilts were distributed in the presence of Rautahat district Judge Lekhnath Dhakal.

Dhakal expressed happiness to the group for their initiative to distribute relief to victims of the cold. He said the group had distributed the quilts to save the locals from excessive cold. Likewise, Sangita Bhandari with the help of Gopal-Pramila Memorable Trust has distributed blankets to 74 families at Dhangar Tole of Purenawa in Gaur Municipality, Rautahat today.
