As many as five persons have tested positive for dengue in Makwanpur.

A source at Hetauda Hospital said four persons from Hetauda Municipality and one from Chhatiwan VDC tested positive for the disease.

Medical Superintendent at Hetauda Hospital Dr Sarbesh Sharma said dengue was detected in five people during health examination at the OPD.

Those tested positive for the disease are Bikram Ghalan,17, Arjun Shrestha,37, Roshan Bartaula, 24, Prem Sapkota, 60 and Yasoda Sapkota,58.

As mosquitoes were responsible for the disease, Sharma urged all to keep their surroundings neat and clean. Dengue patients complain of back pain, recurrent fever, vomiting.

“If necessary precautions are taken, we can be safe from the disease”, Sharma .
