RLW forms Kavre chapter

KAVRE: The Kavre chapter of Revolutionary Left Wing, which claims to be a sister organisation of the Matrika Yadav-led CPN-Maoist, on Monday extended its organisational structure to the VDCs of the district.

A 76-member district committee, led by DG Sarbahara, was formed a month ago. The RLW has also formed four regional committees in the district.

“The organisation has been extended to 20 VDCs in two electoral constituencies of the district,” Sarbahara told this daily, adding that the people’s government has also been formed there. The formation of the district chapter of CPN-Maoist will be announced within a week, he said.

“The RLW has 28 red guards. The stength will be increased to 150 before the district chapter of CPN-Maoist is announced,” he added. He said the Red Guards, who are undergoing training, have been selected from among the cadres of UCPN-Maoist, Young Communist League and others.

After forming its district chapter, the RLW has intensified wall-painting campaign in different places of the district, including Nala, Banepa, Dhulikhel, Kamidanda, Dhungkharka, Chyasinkharka and Bhugdeu.

“We will also disrupt the shows of Indian movies and take action against the persons involved in corruption,” Sarbahara said.
