Kathmandu, May 22:
The Maoists bombed Royal Nepalese Army (RNA) spokesperson, Brigadier General Dipak Kumar Gurung’s house in Kawasoti village of Nawalparasi district yesterday evening. Brig Gen Gurung’s brother and sister-in-law also lived in the destroyed house. According to the spokesperson, his sister-in-law was pushed aside by the Maoists when she had asked to take out her three-months-old daughter’s clothes from inside the house. “Yes, they have bombed the house where my elderly parents were living,” said Brig Gen Gurung. A Maoist girl in a bike had come to ask Gurung’s mother Hastikala if it was the spokesperson’s house before two other bikers came and bombed the two-storied building. This is the second time that the RNA spokesperson’s house has been bombed.
