DHANKUTA: One person died and 15 others were injured in a road accident when a micro bus (Na 1 Kha 2102) met with an accident in Mulgat, Dhankuta, on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Padam Bahadur Rai, who was the vehicle driver and a local resident of Dharan, Sunsari. The injured are being treated in Dhankuta Hospital and Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences.

According to the police, the accident occurred when vehicle skidded off the road while taking a turn and fell some 200 metres below the road.
