Mahottari, November 7:

A group of armed dacoits last night looted Rs 47,000 in cash, one kilo silver, two tolas of gold, five watches and two suitcases from a house belonging to Isa Ansari at Jirapur VDC- 1. Ansari sustained serious injuries in his head and a broken arm when he tried to retaliate against dacoits, the District Police Office, Mahottari said.

At least two to three incidences of robbery occur every week in the area. Dacoits had looted property worth around Rs 500,000 from house of Ram Sogarath Shah last week only.
