Rajbiraj, November 21:

The killers of Nayab Subba at the District Development Committee Saptari Prabhu Narayan Yadav have revealed that looting of Yadav’s mobile phone set and motorcycle was the motive behind his murder. Police had yesterday arrested two among the four persons involved in Yadav’s killing.

At the press conference organised at the Saptari district police office, they confessed to killing Yadav on October 29.

Police arrested 19-year-old Dev Ram alias Anil Kumar Yadav of Saptari’s Pakari VDC-2 and 18-year-old Ganga Ram Yadav on Tuesday for Yadav’s killing.

Anil said they shot Prabhu after he tried to flee when they tried to stop him with the motive of looting his motorcycle and mobile phone set. He died on the spot, he added. Police have seized three pistols and bullets from the duo.
