KATHMANDU: A truck driver died after he was struck by falling rocks while driving at Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-6 of Chitwan district on Sunday night.

Police have identified the deceased as Krishna Dhungana (36) of Tanahun district.

According to police, Dhungana was en route to Muglin from Narayangadh driving his truck (Ga 1 Kha 8228), when rocks fell onto the vehicle from the slope above the road and struck him at 9:30 pm in Kalikhola, critically injuring him.

Dhungana succumbed to his injuries on the way to a health facility, informed police.
