Rotten body found on Syangja riverbank

WALING: A rotten body of a man was found on the bank of Andhi River near the Banyataari Bazaar in Syangja district on Wednesday.

The body was found struck in a crevice between boulders on the riverbank located around 500 metres upstream from the concrete bridge of Bazaar, according to Inspector Uttam Prakash Baral of Ward Police Office, Waling.

The body may have been swept by the river some 15 to 20 days ago, said the Inspector.

The identification of the body is yet to be established.

The putrefied body is being sent for postmortem at Gahrun Ghyangling Primary Health Centre, police said.
