Royal couple feted in districts

Taulihawa, April 6:

King Gyanendra and Queen Komal, today, received the civic felicitation offered to them by the people of Kapilbastu, Rupendehi and Palpa districts in separate programmes organised at Taulihawa, Siddarthanagar and Tansen respectively. In Taulihawa, the Kapilbastu DDC chairman and coordinator of civic reception main committee Salaidin Musalman offered the letter of felicitation to the royal couple. The letter has drawn the attention of the royal couple towards the the burning problems faced by the people of Kapilbastu district. Similarly, in Siddarthanagar, the Rupendehi DDC chairman also the chairman of civic reception main committee Kshetrapati Singh Malla had offered the letter of felicitation to the royal couple.

The people of Rupendehi district in their felicitation letter have demanded an international airport at Bhairahwa so that the identity of birthplace of lord Bauddha Lumbini would be known throughout the world.

Earlier, the royal couple had visited Lumbini and had offered puja at the Mayadevi temple.

In Tansen, the DDC chairman and coordinator of civic reception main committee Dul Bahadur Kunwar offered a letter of felicitation to the royal couple. The people in the felicitation letter have demanded roads, clean water and other basic infrastructure.
