KATHMANDU: With the dissidents demanding party president Pashupati

Shumshere Rana “provide passage” to the special convention of the party, the second day of the central working committee (CWC) meeting of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) on Wednesday failed to thrash out an understanding on the issue.

According to party joint general secretary Khem Raj Pandit, the meeting will continue on Thursday.

The disgruntled faction of the party has been demanding Rana to fix dates for the convention to “end all differences” within the party. Party chairman Rana, however, has been saying that the party would run as per the party statute. — HNS
