RPP-N to play 'positive role' in Constitution amendment

RUPANDEHI: Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa has said that his party will play a constructive role in amending the Constitution.

He said that the process should be forwarded soon, adding that it might create a problem if the process was delayed.

Speaking at a press meet organised by the Reporters' Club, Lumbini chaper, here today, leader Thapa assured that his party would register a proposal to restore the Hindu state during the Constitution amendment process.

He argued that the Constitution implementation process was not prioritised by the incumbent government as the ruling parties were busy in power politics.

In regards to the impeachment motion registered against the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority Chief Lok Man Singh Karki, leader Thapa said that his party would take the right decision in the right time.

He opined for resolving the genuine demands of the dissenting political parties.
