RPP, RJP to unite by mid-Jan

Jajarkot, December 29:

General Secretary of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan today said his party would be compelled to form its youth wing if the Youth Force of the CPN-UML and the Young Communist League of CPN-UML were not dismantled.

Addressing a press meet organised by the Jajarkot district committee of RPP in district headquarters Khalanga today, Pradhan said the peace and security situation in the country had been deteriorating because of the unruly behaviour of the youth organisations of the parties which are at the helm of the government.

“The country has been witnessing lawlessness. Going against the spirit of democracy, the Maoists are attacking media organisations and are trying to impose one-party rule,” he alleged.

Pradhan also said the Rastriya Prajatantra Party and the Rastriya Janashakti Party would unite by mid-January.

“The unification process is underway,” Pradhan added.

Pradhan said the RPP would actively participate in the formation of a democratic federal republican constitution. He, however, suspected the statute would be drafted in the stipulated two years.

Pradhan also emphasised the immediate management of People’s Liberation Army combatants.

“The PLA combatants should be integrated in different security bodies as per their qualifications and capabilities,” Pradhan suggested.
