Rs 27 million Indian education aid

Kathmandu, August 8:

The Government of India has decided to provide grant assistance of Rs 27.8 million for the construction of a school building in Sindhuli district.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed by the Embassy of India, the District Development Committee (DDC) Sindhuli and Shree Chandeshwari Secondary School (CSS), the embassy said in a press release today.

The new infrastructure at the CSS will provide the school with much needed space, stated the release.

“It will easily accommodate the growing number of students in the school and upgrade the school to the 10+2 level,” the release said.

An oversight committee comprising representatives of the school management, District Development Committee and District Education Office will be constituted to oversee the effectiveness and timely implementation of the project.
