RUKUM: A man allegedly murdered his wife and mother-in-law in Rugha VDC-5 of Rukum district on Tuesday.

Jagat Bahadur Khadka fatally hit his wife Naumati and mother-in-law Opi Oli with a stick after a minor dispute, according to police. The mother-daughter duo died on the spot.

After the twin murder, neighbours held Khadka and informed police about the incident. He was subsequently arrested.

It has been learned that Oli had arrived at her daughter’s house a few days ago.

The Khadka couple have two sons and a daughter.
