Sajha Prakashan to shut Biratnagar office

MORANG: Sajha Prakashan, the century-old public publication house, has decided to close its Biratnagar-based eastern regional office.

The Prakashan, which was established as a succeeding body to Nepali Bhasha Prakashini Samiti in order to promote Nepali language, art, culture and education in in the 1913\14, decided to shut its regional office as its transactions had come to a total halt these days.

According to the organisation's General Manager,  Dolindra Prasad Sharma, the organisation had no option to closing its Biratnagar regional office as it had been in loss for a couple of years.

"The organisation is in the dire need of reforms to cope up with a severe economic crisis, resulted in from managerial weaknesses it has been facing for years," he further added.

Meanwhile, GM sharma said that Dharan-based Sajha Prakashan office would be upgraded as a regional office.

Likewise, the Prakashan has planned to close its offices in Dang, Butwal and Birgunj if possible before the upcoming Dashain festival.
