Sanghiya Limbuwan Party calls indefinite Eastern Region bandh
PANCHTAR: The Sanghiya Limbuwan Party Nepal called an indefinite general strike in eastern districts from Friday demanding early release of the party cadres who were arrested in course of protest.
Normal life has been crippled life in Pachthar, Taplejung, Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Teharuthum, Dhankuta, Bhojpur and Sankusaw since this morning due to the bandh.
Long and short route vehicles stayed off the road.
Educational institutions, factories, market places and businesses pulled down their shutters due to the indefinite general strike.
Police said that they have arrested some bandh enforcers for their allegedly involvement in attacking a local journalist Krishna Humagain.
