Kathmandu, June 24:

Though the Civil Personnel Record (Nizamati Kitab-khana) recently told Chief Justice Hari Prasad Sharma to retire ten days earlier than he is scheduled to, the Supreme Court and the Judicial Council is yet to decide whether Sharma should take early retirement or not. “I cannot say what he will do,” said an official at the Chief Justice’s secretariat in the SC. “The CJ is yet to inform them. I don’t know of the developments. Some days ago, he had said he would retire on July 29.” The Nizamati Kitabkhana recently told Sharma to take retirement on July 19, ten days earlier than his date of retirement on July 29. The letter dispatched by the Kitabkhana to the SC states that Sharma must retire on July 19. “As per our records, he should retire on July 29,” the JC secretary Kashi Raj Dahal said.
