CHITWAN: A first-of-its-kind School for Nature Conservation has been opened inside the Chitwan National Park.

The Nepal Army opened the school with the objective of helping the preservation of plants and wildlife inside the park.

The school would impart training for the security personnel to be deputed inside the national park, said the Shree Jung Battalion Chief Sanjay Deuja. The school would formally begin from today.

Similarly, the national park spokesperson Teeka Ram Poudel said that the school is expected to prove a milestone for the preservation of wild animal and flora and fauna. The park aims to double the number of tigers by 2022.

The park is also expected to double the number of rhino in the next five years. It may be noted that the national park marked zero poaching year for three times in previous years.
