School padlocked

Siraha, May 20:

Students of the Janata Domi Chaudhary School in Parsa padlocked the school for an indefinite period to protest collection of admission fee.

A student, Prem Kumar Yadav, said the school was locked on Monday for an indefinite period after a notice was served to charge Rs 145 as admission fee from each student in the school.

Just a few days ago the school had said it would not charge any fee.

The lockout has prevented 400 children from attending classes.

Headmaster of the school Ram Sworup Mahato said the problem would be resolved soon and classes will resume.
