Damak, February 28:

Schools in the seven VDCs of western Jhapa remained closed flowing a threat yesterday.

Earlier yesterday, a telephone caller who claimed himself to be an ANNISU-R cadre threatened principals of several schools in the area to stop educational activities. Few days earlier, the ANNISU-R issuing a press statement had announced that the educational strike in the district was lifted. Schools in Gauradah, Gaurigunj, Topgachhi, Lakhanpur, Korobari, Mahabhara, Shivagunj and Majgadh VDCs have been closed.
