Damauli, December 11

A building with an investment of over 24 million rupees has been constructed on the premises of Adikavi Bhanubhakta Campus in Byas Municipality-1, Tanahun.

According to former chairperson Ramchandra Basnet of the campus management committee, the building constructed with 11.2 million rupees of the Lions Club International and 12.8 million rupees of the community is meant for the proposed Lions Science Lab.

“As the lions club had chipped in with a large share of the cost, we’ve decided to name the lab after the club,” said the for campus Management Committee chair, adding that the four-storey building has 24 rooms.

Further, Basnet informed that it might take another four months for work related to painting, plastering, installation of railing and wiring to be completed.

Former co-treasurer of Lions Club Madhav Bahadur Panta said the lab would help enhance the quality of education provided by the college.

There are around 2,500 students studying in different programmes from the plus-two level to the master’s level at the college.
