Scrapped government offices being reinstated

Majority of district-based government offices in Dhading which had been scrapped in the beginning of this fiscal have now been reinstated under the provincial government.

Earlier, services delivered from these offices had been halted while staffers were in confusion as to what would happen to their job. Most of those offices have been reinstated under the concerned provincial line ministries.

While Provincial Treasury Comptroller Office, Principal Attorney Office and Policy and Planning Commission Office have already been set-up in Hetauda, as per the new mechanism other offices, namely Hydropower and Irrigation Division Office and Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Office have been set-up in Dhading under the Physical Infrastructure Development Ministry of the province.

Similarly, New Town Project Office has been set up in Dhading’s Galchhi, whereas District Health Office of Dhading reinstated now has been brought under the Social Dev elopement Ministry of the province. Likewise, apparatuses such as Public Construction Unit Office, District Ayurveda Health Centre set-up will now operate under the province.

Meanwhile, Division Cooperatives Office, Women and Children’s Office, District Technicians’ Office and District Soil Conservation office have been scrapped for good. While the services earlier offered by the Women and Children’s Office has been will now be  available from local bodies, the erstwhile District Soil Conservation Office has now been merged into the Division Forest Office.
