Security plan okayed in Panchthar

PHIDIM: Political parties, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders agreed to implement

the Special Security Plan which was recently introduced by the government

to effectively contain the criminal activities.

At a programme called by Chief District Officer Dullaraj Basnet in the district headquarters Phidim today, they pledged their support to the security plan. CDO Basnet had organised the meeting after Home Minister Bhim Rawal directed the concerned authorities in the district to implement the plan effectively.

The participants also agreed that they would not enforce bandh, collect donation, padlock government offices, and other protests that were directly affect the daily life of

people.

The political parties here also expressed their firm commitment that not to shelter the culprits on any pretexts. They also agreed not to enter in the premises of the government offices. “If the parties have any demand, only a group of five persons will go to meet the chief of any office and submit memorandum. The concerned authorities would pay due heed to discuss the demand,” a participant said.

According to CDO Basnet, the meeting also

gave green signal for using force if the agreed rule

is breached by any group

or party.

The leaders of Limbuwan State Council affiliated to Sanghiya Loktantrik Rastriya Manch, among other Limbuwan organisations, first expressed their disagreement with the decision saying that the government brought the plan to prohibit their organisations.

The CDO, however, made it clear that the plan was only targeted to the armed outfits and the Limbuwan groups without weapons should not be scared.
